CMHA HALTON OFFERS NEW PROGRAMS FOR PATIENTS
CMHA Halton branch is increasing mental health treatment services for individuals in Halton by building several new clinical programs for patients in Halton.
Skills Training Group
Coping Skills for Change is a 13-week Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Skills Group that focuses on the DBT skills of Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness. As this group is treatment-focused, not all individuals will be eligible. (We can discuss inclusion/exclusion criteria with you).
Psychoeducational Groups
Are you interested in learning skills, but can’t find time for a 13-week group right now? Coping Skills for Change also offers Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) psychoeducational workshops! These 2-3 session workshops focus on specific skills such as mindfulness, emotional and stress management, communication to improve relationships and strategies to improve overall mental health and wellness.
AFFIRM – CBT for 2SLGBTQ+ youth and adults
AFFIRM is an affirmative CBT-based group designed to help 2SLGBTQ+ youth and adults manage symptoms of stress and depression. AFFIRM supports mental and sexual health, enhances coping skills and validates strengths.
